N are damaged do not hurt, but I had to answer, because well-intentioned thought they were dull in conversation with remover. We recommend using a dishwasher. EEK!

I just wanted to warn Never put your books in the dishwasher, especially if mixed with other metals or coated. I understood, but it seems that the quality of the Heirloom have money. To wash hands and use it. The more you use it, is the spot. You can to a jeweler for about $ 10 you can buy a polishing cloth for silver. Additionally, you can ask the jeweler how much does it cost to have the nooks and crannies that do not reach to clean.

Define the term "damage"?
I was not able to determine which is more soluble stain or silver. Fitting (Ag2S) is very, very easily soluble in water, so there may be more a question of who tend to be stripped off money and eat. As we know, neither dark nor metallic silver, there are significant risks to health in concentrations may be added to food. I'm not sure that's true, when combined with things like caffeine, acidity of soft drinks, tomato or alkaline foods are used (if there are things like: p)
Therefore, especially if one does not lose its harmless.

I do not think that would be the time to wash the stain. So I said, if you use cutlery or everydayware and dishwasher safe, it is like new, and you never have to use toxic chemicals to remove the stain. I may be wrong though.

Edit: sorry, Laro, RD sounds like he knows what he / she speaks - that I had good intentions, but.
