Holiday foods: What food would it not be Christmas if you were without it? - irish fruit cake

I love family traditions. My own family has a number of things that we from year to year and are part of the holidays and special memories.
I'd love to hear about your traditions. Moreover, what is the ethnic background of your family? Some people have things that are traditional in the country, some as an eclectic mix.
Everything is beautiful and special for you, so that's what I want to take.

Only then can participate, here are some things about my family that far back:

A ball of some cream cheese, cheddar cheese, black olives, onions, garlic, salt making, Sherry and
rolled in dried minced meat must be served Triscuit crackers. Yummy!

Fudge, an old recipe from my late father

Buckeye balls (centers of peanut butter dipped in melted chocolate chips)

Fruitcake, but no single recipe that is traditional and very well instead of "Icky"

Chex Mix

Sweet and sour meatballs, Swedish meatballs

Christmas Eve: RIB, mashed potatoes, peas,Roll jubilee for dessert

The witnesses of all kinds, but it would cut Christmas without sugar cookies with Sprinkles and cookies, and Cane M + M's Chocolate Chip cookies (of course with red and green)

We are also very "American" as far as ethnicity. Mainly English, but we have a mix of Irish.
